The short version

This is a website about doors. It has no accounts and collects nothing from you directly. Our own analytics are cookieless. The advertising that pays for the site is served by Google, and Google may use cookies to do it. The details, and how to opt out, are below.

No mailing list

There is no newsletter, signup form, or mailing list on this site, so we do not collect email addresses. If that ever changes, this page will say so before a single address is collected.

Search

Search runs entirely in your browser against an index built when the site was published. Your search terms never reach a server.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It sets no cookie, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot follow you to other sites. It records aggregate page views, referrers, and country-level location.

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and to other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on those visits.

You can turn off personalized ads in Google's My Ad Center, and opt out of many other vendors' personalized ads at aboutads.info. You will still see ads, but they will not be based on your browsing. Google explains how it uses information from sites like this one at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set, and can change that choice at any time from the privacy link the consent message leaves on the page.

Your ratings

When you rate a door, the rating is saved in your own browser so the page remembers it. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Hosting

Pages are served through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address in order to deliver the page and block abuse. That is a technical requirement of loading any website.
